If you have a creative side and you would like to spend your summer cultivating it, look no further! From graphics and interiors to fashion design and art history, here are 11 summer programmes that will help you discover your inner artist.




Program focus: Study art and design with Parsons' world-class faculty while experiencing the creative inspiration of New York City in this engaging three-week, three-credit intensive program. The immersive courses are customised for students preparing to apply for college and feature skill-building project-based learning, art and design field trips, guest speakers from industry, and portfolio reviews.

Cost: $5,145 (tuition)

Eligibility: 16-18 years

Location: New York City

Dates: Session 1: June 10 - June 28, 2024 | Session 2: July 8-26, 2024 

Deadline: Session 1: May 15, 2024 | Session 2: June 8, 2024


Program focus: Immerse yourself in Pratt’s 4-credit, 4-week college-level program combining academic exploration with studio work. Explore areas like art, design, architecture, creative writing, and critical and visual studies and participate in exciting social and cultural activities like studio visits, gallery walks, film screenings and more.

Cost: $6,561

Eligibility: 16-18 years

Location: New York City

Dates: July 8 - August 2, 2024

Deadline: Apr 1, 2024

Cohort: 400 students


Program focus: Follow a college-level curriculum with day-long studio classes, visits to the Nature Lab and RISD Museum, critiques and projects that will forever shape the way you approach art and design, experiment with new materials and techniques, building your portfolio in the process.

Cost: $11,350

Eligibility: 16-18 years

Location: Providence

Dates: June 29 - Aug 2, 2024

Deadline: Late Jan, 2024



Program focus: This challenging five-week program awards college credit to rising high school seniors who are ready for a university experience. Students enroll in two college-level classes and have the opportunity to build or enhance their portfolios.

Cost: $6,334

Eligibility: Students going to grade 12

Location: Savannah and Atlanta

Dates: June 16 - July 19, 2024

Deadline: Rolling


Program focus: A flexible program that allows students to explore art and design fields such as Animation, Fashion Design, Painting and much more. It helps students prepare their portfolio and helps them immerse in the world of art education, while networking with like-minded peers as well as university professors and students.

Cost: $1,750 (1 - week) | $3,750 (2 weeks) | $7,140 (4 weeks)

Eligibility: 15-18 years

Location: Chicago 

Dates: 1-week session from July 29 - August 2, 2024 | 2-week sessions: June 17-28, July 1-12, July 15-26, 2024 | 4-week session: July 1-26, 2024

Deadline: March 1, 2024

Cohort: 150 students


Program focus: Through this program, students develop foundational skills in design from conceptualisations and research, to 3-d design and presenting their work. Over six weeks, the Pre-College Design program provides core experiences in the communication, product, and environment design processes led by our experienced design faculty.

Cost: $11,392

Eligibility: 16-18 years

Location: Pittsburgh

Dates: June 22 - Aug 3, 2024

Deadline: Feb 1, 2024


Program focus: This program provides an immersive experience to creative students through rigorous and unique studio projects, visits to New York City’s art institutions, as well as visits to other off-campus sites where artists live and create. Students can build their portfolio, experiment with new materials and learn what it means to be a working artist.

Cost: $7,172

Eligibility: 15-18 years

Location: New York City

Dates: July 7 - August 3 2024

Deadline: Mar 1, 2024

Cohort: 54 students


8. Tufts Studio Art Intensive

Program focus: Through the Studio Art Program, students have the opportunity to explore various mediums and develop artwork that connects to big ideas. In the Graphic Design Bootcamp, diving into the Adobe Creative Cloud software tools, hearing from professional graphic designers, and exploring the intersection of art, technology, and design.

Cost: Studio Art - $6,750

Eligibility: Grade 10-12

Location: Medford, MA

Dates: Studio Art: July 7-26, 2024 

Deadline:- May 1, 2024


Program focus: UCLA’s summer program is ideal for students who want to delve into the world of art and engage in intensive creative work during their summer. The program offers three sessions, two in-person and one virtual, with various specializations to choose from and is structured around a combination of daily, focused studio work, artist lectures, group critiques, and one-on-one meetings with faculty.

Cost: In-person:  $4,651 

Eligibility: Grades 9-12

Location: Los Angeles 

Dates: Session 2 and 3 (In-Person): July 7 - July 20, 2024 and July 22 - Aug 2, 2024

Deadline: Jun 1, 2024


Program focus: The UAL International Summer School offers students with a keen interest in Art and Design a unique opportunity to learn in an art school environment. Students will create work inspired and informed by London's rich cultural and social diversity, as they engage in a series of art and design projects.

Structured in a similar way to a foundation course in art and design, you will be helped to build and create work for a portfolio. Throughout the three-week programme, you will be encouraged to learn new skills, progress existing skills and express your ideas through discussions with your tutors and fellow students.


Cost: £3,500

Eligibility: 16 - 18 years 

Location: London

Dates: Session 1: July 8 - Jul 26, 2024 | Session 2: July 28 - Aug 16, 2024

Deadline: Rolling   


Program focus: This course will explore the major artists, movements, cultures, and ideas that have shaped the history of art. Through a combination of lectures and tours of New York City’s museums, students will engage in an intensive study of famous works of art, art historical movements, and global cultures.

Cost: $7,220

Eligibility: Grades 10-12

Location: New York City

Dates: Session 1: July 7 - Jul 19, 2024 | Session 2: July 21 - Aug 2, 2024
